Scott Stangland Montgomery

is a New York-based actor and musician. Originally from Portland, Oregon, Stangland made his Broadway debut in the musical Once, replacing an original cast member. He then went on to give an award winning turn as “Pierre” in American Repertory Theater’s production of Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812, which moved to Broadway the following year, with international superstar Josh Groban stepping into the title role. Stangland stayed with the show as the standby “Pierre,” and performed many times. In addition to his stage career, Stangland has been seen in numerous television series, most recently on HBO’s The Deuce and Vinyl, and NBC’s New Amsterdam. He also plays and tours with the chamber folk band, Youth in a Roman Field.
