Scott Elliott is the award-winning founding artistic director of The New Group, where he most recently directed Duncan Sheik and Jonathan Marc Sherman’s musical, Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice, Jesse Eisenberg’s Happy Talk, Sharr White’s The True, David Rabe’s Good for Otto, Seth Zvi Rosenfeld’s Downtown Race Riot, Hamish Linklater’s The Whirligig and Wallace Shawn’s Evening at the Talk House. Also at The New Group, he has directed works by Sam Shepard, Philip Ridley, Thomas Bradshaw, Ayub Khan Din, Mike Leigh, Tommy Nohilly, Joe Orton, Erika Sheffer and Francine Volpe. In 2016, he directed the acclaimed West End premieres of two New Group shows: Jesse Eisenberg’s The Spoils and Sam Shepard’s Buried Child.
