About The Program

The New Group offers studio training through a BFA in Acting for Theatre, Film and Television with LIU Brooklyn School of Arts. Students take acting, speech and movement courses from accomplished professionals selected by The New Group from our community of artists.

By studying at a renowned professional theater company, our students immerse themselves in the artistic process as well as learning the business side of the profession, with chances to network with industry professionals, attend Off-Broadway performances, rehearsals and workshops, and participate in masterclasses and talkbacks with New Group artists who work across all media.

The BFA offers a strong combination of stage and on camera training, and empowers students to create their own work and own path. LIU Brooklyn is located in downtown Brooklyn’s world-class arts community and classes are also conducted minutes away in Manhattan’s theater district.
