Frequently Asked Questions for 2021

How do I purchase tickets?

Tickets (Also called Streaming Access or Rentals) to all New Group events and New Group Off Stage content are available at www.thenewgroup.org. The ticket button at the top will take you to the Waiting for Godot page. Access to individual programs is available via the dropdown menu.

It’s recommended that you only make a purchase for individual projects when you’re ready to watch. 

All New Group Off Stage projects can be accessed with the purchase of an Off Stage Access Pass (Currently unavailable. Sold out for the 2020/21 Season on June 30.)

Access to individual projects may be purchased for selected Off Stage projects via their event pages. (At this time, the Reunion Readings are only available via the Access Pass)

Unless stated, www.thenewgroup.org is the authorized seller of tickets to all New Group productions and digital events. The New Group can’t assist with tickets purchased from a third-party seller.

When can I purchase access to individual projects?

Tickets (or Streaming Access) for digital and online Off Stage content will go on sale approximately 2-4 weeks before the premiere date. All Off Stage projects will be available to stream on demand via limited-time rentals. Except for pre-release sales, the rental period begins at the point of purchase, so it’s recommended that you only make a purchase when you’re ready to watch. 

You may also purchase a one-time Off Stage Access Pass (to watch content on demand for an unlimited amount of time while the content is available. You’ll also get access to all Off Stage projects through 2021. (Currently unavailable. Sold out for the 2020/21 Season on June 30.)

 

Tickets for our live stage productions go on sale to the public approximately 4-6 weeks before the first performance and subscribers receive a priority booking period of about 4 weeks before tickets go on sale. (At this time, there are no announced live productions for current season).

 

Tell me more about Teacher and Student Groups Rates

Beginning Friday, May 7

High school and college classes, student groups and youth organizations can access Waiting for Godot at the special group rate of $10 per person.

This special rate is only available for the 3 Day (72 Hour) rental option. A minimum guarantee of 10 people per group per purchase is required. Each group leader will receive an individual voucher code to be used by all group members.

To watch, individuals will need to create accounts at the Waiting for Godot production page. Once logged in, select the “Stream Online for 3 Days” option and enter the voucher code. The rental period begins as soon as the code has been entered and accepted.

What about an individual student discount?

Beginning Friday, May 7

Students can receive a discount code for 35% OFF off a 3 Day Access purchase (Regular $9.99, now $6.50)

Eligible students can email Box Office Associate Maggie Winslow at maggie@thenewgroup.org from with a copy of their student ID and an “.edu” school email address.

Please note, the Box Office is currently only open for limited hours each week. You will receive a reply as soon as we’re able. 

I missed my limited access period, can my purchase be refunded?
For limited access purchase options, including 3 Day and 7 Day Access purchases, there are no refunds or exchanges.
You may contact our box office at tickets@thenewgroup.org to find out how you can extend your access period.
 
How Do I Watch Off Stage Content?

All available Off Stage programming can be viewed on The New Group website (www.thenewgroup.org)

To watch any of the content, you’ll need to create an account on our streaming platform. You can do this when you go to purchase a program or access pass.

You may purchase access to a single program or access to all programming with an Off Stage Access Pass. (Currently unavailable. Sold out for the 2020/21 Season on June 30.) Access to individual projects may be purchased for selected Off Stage projects via their event pages. PLEASE NOTE: At this time, the Reunion Readings are only available via the Off Stage Access Pass)

How Do I login to my account?

If you need to login to your account access video content: Waiting for Godot or other Off Stage content, hit the Purchase Now button on the top screen or the “Already have access? Login with your account” prompt below.

Why do I need to sign-up for a new account to access Off Stage content?

We are using a new streaming platform called InPlayer for Off Stage content on our website. If you’re a past New Group donor, subscriber or ticket buyer you’ll need to create a new account on this platform to access Off Stage programming.

Your previous New Group account login information is still active and may be used when making donations online. It will also work for tickets or subscription packages to future live productions.

I cannot navigate video content on your website

New Group Off Stage content is streaming on the website via InPlayer. Even if you’ve previously had a New Group account to purchase tickets or as a subscriber, you’ll need to create a new InPlayer account to watch video content.

Once you’ve created an account or logged into any video page, you’ll stay logged in to the video player on the current device and browser.

To navigate your InPlayer account you can access settings via the Account Icon in the bottom right corner of any video page.

Can I watch Off Stage content on my TV?

Airplay & Chromecast
All New Group Off Stage content is hosted by Vimeo. If you see the Chromecast or Airplay icon in the video player, then these services are supported.

Smart TVs
To stream on a Smart TV, you would use your TV’s browser to visit the webpage, log in, and watch the stream just like on your computer or tablet. Watching on your Smart TV will largely depend on the model of your TV. Certain models will allow streaming without any issues, but others might not, which is why we normally recommend using a computer, laptop, tablet or another device to enjoy your content.

HOW DO I LOGIN WITH MY ACCOUNT IF I ALREADY HAVE ACCESS?

Click the “Already have access? Login to your account” button at the bottom of the video screen player. You can also click the “Purchase Now” button, and your content will automatically start playing.

Can I get a refunds on my Access Pass purchase?

There are no exchanges or refunds for the Off Stage Access Pass.
